Taurus Canada Renewable Natural Gas Corp. has been awarded $10 million from the Government of Alberta to advance construction of a fully integrated anaerobic digestion and RNG project. The facility, planned at the Chinook Feeders site in Foothills County, will convert cattle manure and other agricultural feedstocks into pipeline-quality renewable natural gas, supporting Alberta’s emissions-reduction goals and the broader buildout of livestock-based RNG in Canada.
U.S. DOE Announces $6.9 Million for Nine Waste-to-Fuel Projects Targeting RNG and Renewable Transportation Fuels
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office and Vehicle Technologies Office selected nine projects to share $6.9 million in funding under the new WASTE (Waste Analysis and Strategies for Transportation End-uses) initiative. The selected research focuses on converting organic waste streams — including food waste, municipal wastewater sludge, solid waste, and manure — into transportation fuels and bioproducts, reinforcing federal support for the RNG and waste-to-energy pipeline.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has unveiled its second Advanced Bioenergy Fund (ABF II) with a target size of €1.5 billion — roughly double its predecessor. Anaergia has signed a US$42 million agreement with Neogenyx Fuels — the new Ameresco/HASI joint venture — to deploy its anaerobic digestion technology at a large-scale agricultural facility in the United States. The turnkey manure handling, processing, and digestion systems will produce more than 4,400 scfm of biogas, which Neogenyx will convert into pipeline-quality RNG, underscoring agricultural waste’s emergence as one of the most attractive and underpenetrated segments of the renewable natural gas market.
Neogenyx Fuels Breaks Ground on First Agricultural RNG Facility at Adams Land & Cattle Feedlot
Neogenyx Fuels announced the start of construction on its first agricultural renewable natural gas facility, located at the Adams Land & Cattle feedlot in Broken Bow, Nebraska. The project will deploy eight anaerobic digesters to capture and convert cattle manure into more than 4,400 SCFM of biogas, which will be upgraded into roughly 1.2 million MMBtu per year of pipeline-quality RNG and injected into the local natural gas system. The facility is expected to avoid as much as 63,700 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually while supporting rural economic development and demonstrating the role of agriculture in advancing clean energy.
