RNG COALITION will follow-up to confirm receipt of you membership application and to confirm your understanding of eligibility and annual dues requirements. Once confirmed, we will complete your application review process and once approved, begin membership onboarding. Membership benefits begin once member dues payments have been received.

    • Membership is an annual commitment and is approved on a per business basis.

    • Each business in a company’s portfolio must join separately to enjoy member benefits unless otherwise approved by RNG COALITION.

    • Membership is effective on the first of the month following receipt of annual dues payment, and is renewed annually thereafter on a 12-month basis.

    • Annual membership renews automatically unless advance notice is provided in writing. We respectfully ask that you provide 60- or 30-day notice so we can plan accordingly.

    • Members are not eligible to reduce their membership level based on fluctuation of revenues from year-to-year.

    • In the event of a merger or acquisition members may consolidate dues payments but may not reduce member dues amounts.

    • Leadership and General level membership dues increased effective January 1, 2021 for the first time since the RNG COALITION was established in 2011, but are subject to change on an annual basis, including to support expanded international, national, and regional policy advocacy and public education efforts and other member services.

    • Advanced level membership is a new member tier added effective January 1, 2023 and does not apply toward RNG COALITION members approved for General level membership on or before December 31, 2022.

    • General level membership dues increased from $6,000 to $10,000 effective January 1, 2023 but does not apply to RNG COALITION members approved for General level membership on or before December 31, 2022.

    • Membership dues paid to the Coalition For Renewable Natural Gas are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, but may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. The percentage of your annual membership dues that represents non-deductible lobbying expenses is 40% under Sec. 162(e) (2).

    • THE COALITION FOR RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS will not use a business or representative’s name on a policy paper, position letter, or in connection with a political contribution without express permission from your primary contact, or otherwise designated person. By agreeing to membership, the member business agrees that the business or entity name may be used by the RNG COALITION for marketing, web and social media, promotional materials, in connection with RNG COALITION recruitment and sponsored events, and generally on materials that do not take a policy position.
