H2A to Invest $570 Million in 22 New Biomethane Plants Across Brazil
Brazilian biogas developer H2A Bioenergia is advancing 22 biomethane plants across the country, backed by an investment of roughly R$2.9 billion (about $570 million) over the next five years, turning agricultural and livestock waste into a new revenue stream for rural producers.
The plants, expected to produce about 800,000 cubic meters of biomethane daily from swine, cattle, and poultry waste, will target heavy transport and diesel replacement, building on H2A’s first ANP-certified biomethane facility in Santa Catarina and supporting Brazil’s push to decarbonize its agricultural sector.
