RNG Coalition Sues EPA Over Cuts to Cellulosic Renewable Volume Obligations
The Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition) has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over the agency’s decision to cut cellulosic renewable volume obligations under the Renewable Fuel Standard. The Coalition argues that the reductions undercut investment in renewable natural gas and run counter to the program’s goal of expanding low-carbon, domestically produced fuels, and is asking the court to review the EPA’s volume determinations.
