Kanadevia Inova Breaks Ground on Minnesota’s First Organic Waste-to-Biochar Renewable Gas Facility

Kanadevia Inova has broken ground on what it describes as one of the most advanced organic waste-to-renewable gas projects in North America, establishing what the company says is a new benchmark in circular waste management and renewable energy production.
The Louisville Township Renewable Gas Project, located in Louisville Township, Minnesota, is a large-scale anaerobic digestion facility developed by Kanadevia Inova in partnership with Dem-Con Companies, LLC.
The site will begin receiving organics for processing in 2027.

What to Know About the Section 45Z PTC Proposed Regulations

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and IRS published proposed regulations on February 6, 2026, regarding the clean fuel production tax credit (PTC) under Section 45Z of the Internal Revenue Code. The proposed regulations allow reliance thereon until final regulations are published in the Federal Register, provided that taxpayers follow them in their entirety and in a consistent manner. Comments are requested by April 6, 2026.

He detailed that Clean Energy exceeded the high end of its 2025 guidance range and highlighted the completion and launch of the South Fork Dairy RNG project in Texas, now the largest operating RNG project in the company's portfolio. He further stated, "We completed construction and brought South Fork online. When it entered service, it became the largest operating RNG project in our portfolio and one of the largest RNG dairy digesters in the country." Littlefair also revealed the commencement of gas injection at the East Valley Dairy project in Idaho, the company's largest RNG project, signaling further growth.
