Generate Capital, PBC (Generate), a leading sustainable infrastructure investment firm, has announced the closing of a C$60 million (£34 million / €41 million) inaugural financing deal with Fiera Infrastructure Private Debt.
The funding will support Generate Upcycle’s (Upcycle) growing North American anaerobic digestion (AD) portfolio, further boosting renewable natural gas (RNG) capacity across Canada and the United States.

Waste Management Reports Steady Volumes, RNG Plant Progress and Ongoing Cell Construction
Willow Wilson, district manager for Waste Management, gave the county a quarterly update on landfill volumes, revenue and on‑site construction projects.
Wilson reported year‑to‑date landfill volumes into the facility of about 1,900,000 total tons and third‑quarter volumes of roughly 701,184 tons. She told the court year‑to‑date host fees paid to Gilliam County for 2025 total about $3,800,000 and road fees year‑to‑date are $194,459.

EnviTec and Byont Launch First Belgian Biogas Plant with CO2 Liquefaction Tech
EnviTec Biogas, in partnership with Dutch energy provider Byont, has signed its first contract to build a biogas upgrading plant with CO2 liquefaction in Belgium. The plant will connect to an existing biogas facility and is scheduled to complete in July 2026. It will inject 735 Nm³/h of biomethane into the Belgian gas grid.
On-site, the plant will produce 24 tons of bio-LCO2 daily, supporting green energy supply and the circular economy of CO2.

Eni to Add Renewable Diesel, SAF Capacity at Sannazzaro Refinery in Italy
Eni has confirmed plans to convert portions of its Sannazzaro de’ Burgondi refinery in Pavia, Italy, to produce renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The biorefinery is expected to be operational in 2028.
Eni on Sept. 23 announced has received approval from the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security to convert selected units at the Sannazzaro refinery into a biorefinery. The company said it has now started the authorization process and has filed an application for the environmental impact assessment (VIA).
