Xebec Announces Letter of Intent for Canadian Landfill Gas to RNG Project
Xebec Adsorption Inc. (TSXV: XBC) (“Xebec”), a global provider of clean energy solutions is pleased to announce that it has signed a letter of intent (“LOI”) on June 5th, 2020, for the sale of a multi-million dollar landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) installation, to a large-scale waste management customer in North America.
Xebec expects the LOI to convert into backlog over the coming months and system delivery to occur in 2021.
In addition, Xebec has received multiple hydrogen purification orders for the production of cost-effective, high purity hydrogen for use in fuel cells and industrial applications. The aggregate order amount of the landfill and hydrogen projects announced today, and the Alberta RNG Project LOI announced on June 3rd, 2020, is $11.9 million.

Bioenergy DevCo and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Partner To Bring RNG to Customers on the Delmarva Peninsula
Bioenergy DevCo (BDC), a leading global developer of anaerobic digestion facilities that create renewable energy and healthy soil products from organic material, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (CPK), a NYSE-listed diversified energy company, on a project to remove excess organics from the poultry industry and convert it into renewable natural gas. The intent is for BDC and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation affiliates Eastern Shore Natural Gas, Chesapeake Utilities and Marlin Gas Services, to collaborate on this project in addition to several other project sites where organic waste can be converted into a carbon-negative energy source. Beyond the environmental and energy benefits, this project will also support the economy in the Delmarva region.

Xebec Receives Letter of Intent for Alberta’s First Commercial RNG Project
Xebec Adsorption Inc. (TSXV: XBC) (“Xebec”), a global provider of clean energy solutions is pleased to announce that it has signed a letter of intent (“LOI”) on May 28th, 2020, for the sale of a multi-million dollar biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG) installation to a large-scale utility customer in Alberta.
Xebec expects the LOI to convert into backlog over the coming months and system delivery to occur in 2021.
An opportunity to further Canada’s oil and gas industry and help the country decarbonize its energy mix
Canada is the world’s fourth largest natural gas producer. Renewable natural gas (RNG) production represents an opportunity to reduce carbon emissions of natural gas by creating renewable gas from organic waste sources, that can be blended with fossil natural gas to reduce the overall carbon intensity.

Xebec, Fonds Launch Renewable Natural Gas Investment Fund
Xebec Adsorption Inc., a global provider of clean energy solutions, and Fonds de solidarité FTQ (Fonds) have created the GNR Québec Capital L.P. investment fund.
With an initial capitalization of $20 million, this new investment vehicle aims to increase renewable natural gas (RNG) production in Québec. Partners, particularly from the agricultural and municipal sectors, will have access to the capital and expertise needed to develop and operate efficient facilities to treat organic waste. The creation of a fund of this type for RNG projects is a first in Québec.

DMT Clear Gas Solutions to Update RNG Equipment at BC Dairy Farm
DMT Clear Gas Solutions will update renewable natural gas (RNG) equipment at Seabreeze Farm, a third-generation dairy farm in British Columbia (BC).
Seabreeze Farm, owned by the Keulen family, will update their RNG equipment using DMT’s patented three-stage membrane separation system. The farm made headlines in 2015 when the owners announced they had combined anaerobic digestion (AD) with a biogas upgrading plant. DMT says the farm owners’ decision to update their biogas upgrading equipment is “on-trend to what analysts have witnessed over the last five years: that membrane separation is the prevalent technology used in North America’s RNG industry”.

U.S. Gain Secures RNG Offtake Agreement with Holsum Dairies
U.S. Gain proudly announces the completion of a renewable natural gas (RNG) offtake agreement with Holsum Dairies located in Hilbert, Wisconsin. RNG produced will be taken to U.S. Gain’s fleet customers in California, displacing nearly 900,000 gallons of gasoline.
Holsum Dairies consist of two separate farms (Elm Dairy and Irish Dairy) with digesters that breakdown animal waste to create methane that later is converted to RNG. Raw digester gas from Irish Dairy is transported via pipeline to a central conditioning plant located at Elm Dairy, where it is stripped of impurities to produce RNG. The RNG is then injected directly into the natural gas pipeline through an interconnect installed by Holsum Dairies. In addition to RNG, the anaerobic digestion process also creates organic nutrients and bedding material for animals that can be used by the farm or sold.

NZE Natural Gas Truck Technology Ready for the Rigors of Drayage Operations
Today’s commercially available, near-zero-emission (NZE) heavy-duty natural gas trucks have proven their readiness for the rigors of daily drayage truck operations at North America’s largest shipping ports, the San Pedro Bay ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. NZE natural gas trucks were officially upgraded to the highest Technology Readiness Level—TRL 9— in the Ports’ Feasibility Assessment for Drayage Trucks.
NZE natural gas trucks are the first technology in the Ports’ assessment to achieve the TRL 9 rating (adapted from the U.S. Department of Energy’s “Technology Readiness Assessment Guide”). The assessment, first published by the Ports in March 2019, plays an integral role in the forward strategy of the Port’s groundbreaking Clean Trucks Program, as it evaluates the readiness of zero-emission (ZE) and NZE drayage truck fuel-technology platforms based on four key parameters: commercial availability, operational feasibility, infrastructure availability and economic workability.

Toronto Organics Processing Facility to Convert Food Waste to RNG
Ever wondered where your leftover food ends up? Well, in Toronto, that food waste will soon be turned into renewable natural gas (RNG).
The City of Toronto, in collaboration with Enbridge Gas Inc., is installing equipment at its Dufferin Solid Waste Management Facility, which will upgrade the biogas produced from processing food waste into RNG. Through its partnership with Enbridge, the city will be able to inject the RNG into the natural gas distribution grid and potentially use it to power its waste collection trucks, among others, as well as heat city buildings and facilities.
