Renewable Natural Gas Project Could Generate Millions in Revenue

A proposed renewable gas facility could soon generate millions of dollar of revenue for Metro Nashville.

Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s office filed legislation creating both a gas rights agreement and a lease agreement between Metro Water Services and Burnham Nashville to construct a facility to convert biogas from MWS’ biosolids facility into renewable natural gas to be injected in the nearby gas pipeline, generating energy credits that can be marketed.
