Waga Energy to Build RNG Unit at Spanish Landfill
French gas upgrading specialist Waga Energy SA (EPA:WAGA) has signed a ten-year contract with Spanish waste management services company FCC Medioambiente to set up and operate a renewable natural gas (RNG) production facility at a landfill site near Granada, southern Spain.
Waga Energy said on Tuesday that, under the contract, it will finance, build, own and operate a WAGABOX upgrading unit at the Ecocentral landfill in Alhendin. The unit will process up to 2,400 cubic metres per hour of landfill gas and is scheduled to start operations in 2028.California Bioenergy LLC (CalBio) has completed the acquisition of Sevana Bioenergy’s interest in South Dakota Biogas LLC, strengthening its participation in a joint venture developing dairy renewable natural gas (RNG) projects in South Dakota.
