New York Landfill Starts Producing Clean Gas in Allegany County

Casella Waste Systems and Waga Energy have begun producing renewable natural gas at the Hyland Landfill in Angelica, expanding efforts to convert landfill gas into pipeline-quality fuel.

The project marks the second of three renewable natural gas facilities developed by the companies to enter operation, according to a community announcement.
