British Columbia Regulator Upholds RNG Definition, Allowing Out-of-Province Biomethane Sourcing

The British Columbia Utilities Commission concluded that no major changes to its definition of renewable natural gas are warranted.

The ruling confirms public utilities may continue acquiring biomethane and its environmental attributes from out-of-province sources, even without a physical pipeline connection to BC.
