First U.S. Commercial Plant Making Jet Fuel from Captured Carbon Opens in Moses Lake

Clean fuels company Twelve has opened AirPlant One in Moses Lake, Washington, the first U.S. commercial-scale facility producing sustainable aviation fuel from captured carbon dioxide. The plant converts captured CO2 and renewable energy into synthetic E-Jet fuel, offering a pathway to decarbonize aviation, one of the harder-to-abate transportation sectors, and signaling growing momentum for power-to-liquids technology.
