Hawaii Lawmakers Pass Bill to Create State Clean Fuel Standard

Hawaii lawmakers on May 6 approved legislation to establish a state Clean Fuel Standard that aims to reduce the carbon intensity of transportation fuels by at least 50%. Once signed into law, Hawaii would join California, Oregon, Washington, and New Mexico in operating a CFS-style program — opening a new market opportunity for RNG and other low-CI fuels.
