Lativa Gets First Publicly Available Biomethane Entry Point

In Latvia, Latvia Public Media reports the first publicly available biomethane entry point in Latvia is opened in Džūkste. The Association of Biogas Producers estimates that “green gas” in Latvia is currently produced by eight companies, which mostly have their own gas input points, but the industry is developing and public infrastructure will be relevant in the long term. The operator of the natural gas transmission and storage system “Conexus” points out that the project will promote the integration of green energy into the overall gas system and in the coming years it is planned to create such points elsewhere in Latvia.
