Washington State Landfill To House $43 Million Renewable Natural Gas Project

What’s that smell... or lack thereof?

The Greater Wenatchee Regional Landfill, at 191 Webb Road in East Wenatchee, Washington, will soon house a $43 million facility converting gas from waste, or biogas, into renewable energy. The site already extracts gas and sends it to a single enclosed flare with a capacity of 2,000 standard cubic feet per minute, which takes away much of the landfill’s smell.
