Alberta Technology Projects Receives $58.4 Million in Natural Gas Challenge

Using artificial intelligence and machine learning to measure and locate methane emissions, and producing compressed natural gas for vehicles are two of the 20 projects getting a combined $58.4 million from the government through Emissions Reduction Alberta.

The Alberta government announced the finalists of the Natural Gas Challenge on Tuesday. The funding, first announced in October, comes from the Technology Innovation Emissions Reduction (TIER) program, paid for by a carbon tax on large emitters.
