SoCalGas Receives Grant to Make Renewable Natural Gas at Wastewater Plants

Southern California Gas Co., or SoCalGas, on Thursday said it received a $3 million grant to further develop the technology that creates renewable energy from the decomposition of organic material at wastewater treatment plants.

SoCalGas said the California Energy Commission awarded the company $3 million to fund the next phase of development for the Hydrothermal Processing technique.
