RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship

The RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship is available for employees of RNG Coalition member companies or partner organizations and their families (or referred applicants).


ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 WILL run from FEBRUARY 15-march 15, 2024

The RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship was established in November 2017 to honor the late Tudor Williams, an RNG industry pioneer, innovator, engineer, project developer and founding member of RNG Coalition. 

Funded by RNG Coalition and contributions from member companies, scholarship awards are offered as a membership benefit for employees of member companies, partner organizations and their families, or sponsored applicants. The scholarships are intended to encourage the pursuit of higher education, including but not limited to Applied Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Communications, Environmental Studies, Law, Energy & Renewable Energy Policy, Public Policy and Sustainability. 

Funds may be used for tuition, state fees, and/or stipends.

To be considered for the RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1.     Be a U.S. or Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident;

2.    Be a family member or friend (sponsored) of an employee of an RNG Coalition member company or partner organization in good standing;

3.     Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (or equivalent);

4.     Provide a complete official transcript;

5.     Furnish a letter of reference from a non-family member;

6.     Submit a letter of recommendation from a family member or sponsoring friend who is an employee of an RNG Coalition member company or partner organization in good standing; and 

7.     Submit a one-page application essay:

  • confirming eligibility and student status 

  • confirming intended major, research or thesis

  • explaining why they should be awarded the Academic Scholarship

All scholarship applications are reviewed by our Education LAB Scholarship Committee.

To be considered for the RNG Coalition-Tudor Williams Academic Scholarship, applicants must email their official transcript, letters of reference and recommendation, and essay to Rachel Franco (rachel@rngcoalition.com), no later than March 15, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to package all documentation into a single file when possible (transcripts can be sent separately if coming directly from the educational institution).
