Johannes D. Escudero
Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director
Johannes D. Escudero founded the Coalition For Renewable Natural Gas in July, 2011.
Mr. Escudero serves the Coalition and its members as CEO and Executive Director. He has more than fifteen years of organizational leadership experience, with a diverse background in non-profit management, business development, higher education, politics, governmental, legislative and regulatory affairs.
Mr. Escudero completed his Master's Degree with honors in Leadership from Hope International University, where he is also an Adjunct Professor.
Prior to founding the Coalition, Mr. Escudero served as Legislative Director in the California State Assembly and as consultant to ranking members of the Transportation, Utilities and Commerce, Natural Resources and Environmental Safety & Toxic Materials committees.
Mr. Escudero became an ordained Pastor in 2006, and has also served as President of Escudero & Associates Inc. since 2008 - a private firm that provides energy and asset related services to clients, including members of the RNG Coalition.
Mr. Escudero has been happily married to his wife Tawni for 15 years. Together, they have three children, Rori Lane (10 years), Lincoln Brave (6 years) and Jack Love (8 months).
David A. Cox, Esq.
Director of Operations & General Counsel
David Cox founded the Coalition For Renewable Natural Gas in July, 2011.
Mr. Cox serves the Coalition and its members as Director of Operations and General Counsel.
Mr. Cox specializes in the laws that impact the renewable natural gas industry, including the renewable fuel standard, low carbon fuel standard, pipeline injection laws, and renewable portfolio standard electricity procurement laws.
Prior to founding the Coalition, Mr. Cox was a Chief of Staff in the California State Assembly. He has more than a dozen years of experience advising elected officials, candidates and companies on public policy and political matters.
Mr. Cox graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Westmont College. Mr. Cox is a member of the California State Bar in good standing.
Mr. Cox has been happily married to his wife Kimberly for six years. Together, they have two children, Connor (5 years) and Sarah Jayne (4 years).
